Dentists' Day at the Legislature

Date

The entire dental team is invited to attend Dentists' Day at the Legislature. Dentists' Day is a grassroots event celebrating the dental profession that offers dentists the opportunity to meet their lawmakers. After visiting with your legislators, don't forget to enjoy the reception, with food, music, and fun!

You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your registration. If you do not receive an email, check your junk folder. Be sure to mark all email addresses from the LDA/ADA as safe senders.

Briefings and Reception

This year’s briefings (2 p.m.) will be held at the Lt. Governor’s Apartment in the Pentagon Barracks. Here are some details about the location and how to get there: 

Street Signs
To get to the Pentagon Barracks, walk to the corner of N Third St. and State Capitol Dr. 
Barracks
Turn around, and you're there! To visit the Lt. Governor's Apartment, walk to the arrow.
Lt Gov
The Lt. Governor's Apartment is unmarked, but look for this rug outside the door.

Parking

A mix of free and metered parking is available across from the library on 4th Street and on Spanish Town Road. Visitors with handicap permits may park for free in the lot between the Iberville Building and the State Library; access is from North 3rd Street.

  • The LaSalle Parking Garage is open for State employees only; a State ID badge is required to enter and exit.
  • All visitors can park in the Galvez Parking Garage, located at 504 Main Street. Tickets are issued upon entrance to the garage and may be validated at the State Library circulation desk.
  • River Road is close to the levee and across from the Pentagon Barracks.

Directions to Galvez Garage: If traveling west on North Street from the Interstate, the entrance is on the left between 5th Street and 6th Street. If traveling east on Main Street from River Road, the entrance is on the left between 5th Street and 6th Street.

NOTE: If you would like to park close to where your evening will end (Pentagon Barracks), we suggest parking on River Road and walking to the Library. Remember, the Galvez parking garage closes at 9 p.m.
