The Louisiana Mission of Mercy 2023

Oct 17, 2023
The Louisiana Dental Foundation’s free dental clinic utilized over 600 volunteers and licensed dentists to provide exams, fillings, extractions and more for 900 patients in Lafayette on August 11-12. Overall, LaMOM provided $1,081,239 in free dental care to the Lafayette area community.

LaMOM aims to provide quality care to as many patients as possible. All services were free of charge and no pre-qualifications were required. Patients received care on a first come, first served basis. LaMOM does not require proof of insurance, employment, income, ID, or immigration status.

Volunteers and licensed dentists come from around the state to support LaMOM. These volunteers hold roles from check-in to IT support to translation services to providing dental care.

LaMOM was made possible by the donations of over 75 individuals and businesses. We'd like to thank our platinum sponsors, Louisiana Healthcare Connections and Delta Dental. The LDA accepts donations year round to fund this event.

We have not set a future LaMOM date, but we will update all communication channels if/when we have a future date.
